What public, private, group and away mean

Room status can change during a visit. V4 labels the provider’s current public status so visitors can avoid opening a room with the wrong expectation.

Public

A public room is generally available to browse. The performer may still have goals, menus, rules and paid features. Public access does not mean every interaction or request is free.

Private

A private status usually means the performer is in a one-to-one paid session or otherwise unavailable to the general public. The external cam networks controls pricing, access and session rules.

Group

A group show allows a limited or paying audience under platform rules. It is different from a public room even when a preview remains visible.

Away

Away indicates that the performer may have stepped away or is not actively engaging. V4 demotes away rooms in the smart ranking and offers similar public rooms in the modal.

Status is a moment, not a permanent label

Rooms can switch between states quickly. Refresh the feed or return later rather than treating a status as a fixed schedule.
